The Idea of a Country Market is About
as New England as Maple Syrup
Welcome to the Hancock Market, which has been serving the town since 1878. Mr. C. W. Farmer built the store back then on land that belonged to Mr. Jedediah Fox who owned the hotel (now called The Hancock Inn and Fox Tavern) across the street.
We are a country market featuring fresh meats and seafood, locally baked goods, local dairy products, prepared foods, and fresh produce that we get from area growers during the summer and fall seasons. All year long we keep handy the groceries people need at home such as the essentials for cooking and baking, health and beauty, personal care and whatever else people want to have nearby – including fresh brewed, locally roasted coffee!
We specialize in community. Come inside and you’ll meet your neighbor, hear the news and confer upon the weather. The Hancock Market is the crossroads of the world in which we live and a waypoint along our daily route of travel.
The Hancock Market is located in the historic town of Hancock, New Hampshire.
